Hopefully the fact that you said something might make at least one of them think about their brotherly “love”.

wt cruelty to sickly older jw's in field service yesterday
by judge rutherFRAUD inyesterday i went to the local mc donalds for breakfast and sat next to the window closest to the sidewalk.
and see a tribe of jw's heading to the kingdum hall about a mile away.
what caught my eye was an older jw using a walker cane and stopping about every 10 feet.

Stayed up all night, see it is a cult now.
by gutted ini really needed to find a place to write this as i don't believe i can talk with anyone else about my account, perhaps it is similar to a lot of yours.. last night for whatever reason i said i would go online and look up information on jws.
i have been raised as a jw all my life and baptized the last few years.
i looked at www.freeminds.org and www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com and couldn't believe how easily the whole of my lifes teachings were refuted.. i can't stop my brain from running, bs just in regards to theology alone (1914, paradise earth, celebrations etc.

Ok…. Take a breath…. Just breathe…..
I know how you feel – been there, done that. Been faded from the org for over 10 years now, so….
Don’t do anything too hasty. DON’T SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE.
You need time to take all this in. Read, read, read and then read some more. I suggest you start with Ray Franz’s “Crisis of Conscience” to get the real history on the org and its doctrines.
You will probably want to fade, that is, not get yourself disfellowshipped or disassociate yourself, so that you maintain contact with your parents so you need to take things slowly and carefully.
Go to the meeting, act normal, but DO NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE until you know in your heart and mind how you are going to exit the JWs successfully.
I understand how traumatic discovering all this can be, so that is why I stress to you that you take it one thing at a time and not make any hasty decisions.
Read the thousands of threads here on exiting the JWs, and how to deal with your family and friends. You have people here to support you!!

Hmm this could be tricky - I am going to a JW wedding.
by The Scotsman inyes a close family member of mine is getting married next weekend and me and mrs scotsman have been invited.. to set the scene - i have not been to a meeting in 2 years, 2 months and for mrs scotsman it is just under 2 years - so we have not seen any of our ex jw associates since then - but they will all be at the wedding!!!!.
we are not dad or dfd so they will be able to talk to us if they feel the urge.. the good thing is we are not the only ex jws/non jws going, so this will help.. the worry i have is what some of these jws might try.
for many of them, the last time they seen me i was an elder flying the wt flag - now i am out the truth dead at armageddon!.

My suggestion is that you ignore/defer any talk about your beliefs or WTism.
You’re there to celebrate the marriage of your two friends and nothing more.

Leaving Jehovah's Witnesses is a Negative, Depressing Thing To Do, but....
by AllTimeJeff inover the years since i left jehovahs witnesses, one of the more fascinating things to observe, and really to me, the most important, is what to do after you leave.. to be sure, no one leaves because of a positive experience.
and therein lies the issues with leaving.
basically, people leave in three general ways: 1. they, like myself, resign or leave due to a disagreement.

Terry's Amazing Stories
by Blue Grass inam i the only one who think's a lot of the amazing stories terry come up with are fabricated or completely untrue?
every week he tells us how he by chance ran into a jw, mormon, evangilcial, etc.
and comes up with witty answers every time to counter every point they make and than have them running in fear.

Using Moshe’s logic…. If 95% of the JWs in your congregation thinks it’s “the truth” then they must be right???
